Lyndale engines originally started in 1967 by John's dad Dennis who bought a small garage in Norfolk which they named after the cottage they lived in. In 1974 Lyndale Garage then became agents for John Martin Engines & 2yrs later Dennis then bought out the company. Now with the machine shop & the garage they went from strength to strength also getting involved with stock car racing they produced their first winning engine in taking the 1980 stock car championship at Swaffham. In 1985 John moved & opened a branch in Peterborough which is still there base today. 4yrs later Lyndale Engine won another championship winning the English title in Stock Rods. In the early 90s Lyndale Engines were asked to supply an engine for a 1300 stock car for a new formula at Alwalton Raceway which had great success. At the same time son Jonathon started racing minis in Alwalton's Junior class becoming points champion in 1994. This then started Lyndale Engines building more engines for other formula's With Jonathon's move a year later they were building stock rod engines which also saw them producing the first 1400 stock rod engine taking the days winnings in a Vauxhall Nova & after several more years with another change of formula they were then racing Hot rods. Today a Lyndale racing engine can be found at the forefront of winning in what ever formula.
